If you attend a sports massage treatment, the sports therapist can help reduce the pain caused by your injury. The therapist does this by identifying which movements cause the mobility issues and then applying soft tissue techniques and the many hours of experience to give you some relief.
There would normally be an initial assessment at the beginning of the treatment, and then a reassessment after your session to assess improvements that have been made. This is also the time your therapist will use to offer home techniques to prevent further injury and/or rehabilitation.
A proactive approach to body injuries is always better than reactive – if your body is letting you know that it is in pain, it’s not a good decision to ignore or mask through medication.

Muscle Kares approach is to conduct a quick over the phone assessment of your symptoms and a little bit of background information about the injury and the circumstances the injury has occurred, along with any treatment (professional or otherwise) that you have tried.
We’d arrange an appointment when suits you best.
When we get in contact with you, we may offer immediate advice to give you some comfort.
Ideally you’ll have enough relief until you arrive for your treatment, if not it’s possible to organise an emergency appointment and/or a home call if getting to us would be too uncomfortable.

When you leave the clinic after your treatment, that’s not the end of it, you will likely be given exercises to complete at home which will help to either strengthen certain muscles or increase mobility in certain muscles.
We’ll give you a call around a week after your treatment to check how things are and how the homework is going!
